Situation. Task. Action. Result.
The STAR approach separates the setting, the task, your actions and the outcome. It is a structure for explaining an example, not a script that guarantees a result.
Keep your part visible.
Describe what you personally did, while keeping the wider team context accurate. Use the outcome you can support and note what you learned.
Keep it conversational.
Use your own words and be ready to explain the detail. Do not put confidential information into practice notes or add a number merely to make an example sound stronger.
